It is with great pleasure that I warmly welcome
each of you to the Philippine College of Physicians’ 53rd Annual
Congress! 2023 proves to be an exciting year for the
College as we celebrate our 70th Year Anniversary. As we continue to
grow and adapt to the changing times, keeping ourselves motivated and
responsive to our patient’s needs.
To commemorate the 70 years of learning, we
have prepared pre-congress activities to jump start the celebration, the
Nutrition summit in January, IM Boot Camp in February for our residents and the
UHC Summit in March.
The three-day-congress highlights the keynote,
plenary lectures, and e-poster presentations with academic and Industrial
scientific sessions. The Scientific
Committee prepared an exciting array of lectures for members to have fruitful
learning interactions.
After three years of virtual conferences, I
hope you take this opportunity to come and learn with us as we celebrate our
platinum year.

Regents' officers and members. I am pleased to invite and welcome you to our
53rd Annual Congress and 70th founding anniversary celebration at the
Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on May 7 - 10, 2023.
As the Philippine College of
Physicians celebrates its 70th anniversary and 53rd annual congress with the
theme "Passion, Constancy of Purpose, Prudence in Internal Medicine,"
it is appropriate to take stock of what has happened and what has been accomplished
in order to chart the future. The College's membership has skyrocketed to an
all-time high of more than 13,000 members, with 129 accredited training
institutions across the country.
I would like to congratulate
and give thanks to the Over-all Chair Dr. Rontgene M. Solante and his
Organizing Committee for their outstanding efforts. May you continue to uphold
the College's excellence. You can be confident that they created a program that
is balanced and well-rounded, addressing all areas of interest and concern. It
is well worth the time invested.
To the members, chapters,
accredited training institutions, subspecialty and affiliate societies who are
the College's strength and lifeblood, thank you for actively participating in
the many worthwhile endeavors over the years, and for your support in achieving
the College's Mission and Vision.

to enjoy this special time together in spirit and purpose.
